Alliance  Board member Stefan Borzecki, owner of Yaringa Boat Harbour has been elected Chairman of the Alliance at its Annual General Meeting on 18th September 2014.

Stefan, a founding member of the Alliance,  is also a director of the Global Marina Institute, a widely regarded international body that sets operating standards and provides training on marina development and management to governments and businesses around the world.

As a member of the Port of Hastings Development Authority, Community Advisory forum established by the Authority to provide  feedback and advice on emerging issues relating to the port development, Stefan is very keen to ensure that Yaringa’s current expansion proposals are not adversely impacted or prevented by the port development.

More broadly, Stefan has had a very long standing relationship with Western Port Bay and marine businesses  across the peninsula and our region and seeks to make the best use of his involvement in professional bodies and in our case leadership of our marine sector alliance to protect and promote marine business growth opportunities.

The Alliance anticipates being able to stay fully informed of current developments and also where possible to contribute information about the potential opportunities and impacts on the local Marine Sector arising from the port development.
