Yachting Victoria has developed a guide for yacht clubs which wish to implement infrastructure upgrades.

The guidelines are a step by step process map and identify all the necessary steps in securing land use and development approvals from the relevant coast land manager (Council or DEPI)  and also identify the level of detail that must be provided to support development applications and funding grants.

At present the guidelines are in the members only area of the YV website so that only member yacht clubs have access. The Alliance has had preliminary discussions with the YV CEO Steve Walker about making the guidelines available to Council officers who have to manage that end of the transaction process to ensure that they are across the issues YV has identified and d not cause clubs to have to “reinvent wheels” halfway through the project development phase.
