Three Mornington Peninsula Marine Sector Businesses have recently won awards in business excellence and tourism. Searoad Ferries and Moonraker Dolphin Swims have taken out awards at the 2013 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards and Hart Marine won top prize at the 2013 MPF business Excellence Awards.

Hart Marine has taken out the top prize at the Mornington Peninsula and Frankston, Business Excellence Awards. This is a fantastic achievement for Mal Hart and his team and worthy recognition for the very high quality manufacturing work they undertake. Hart Marine is the leading Australian company in the construction of the new generation of composite fibre Pilot Boats with orders being placed by a number of major national port authorities. The regional award success entitles Hart Marine entry into the State level awards competition and we wish the team every success.

Searoad Ferries under the leadership of Mat MacDonald has taken the top prize in the Tour and Transport Operators Category. This ferry service operates between Sorrento and Queenscliff across Port Phillip Bay and provides an essential transport link for the state, connecting the Mornington and Bellarine Peninsulas.

Moonraker Dolphin Swims has taken out two prizes at the Victorian Tourism Awards gala event just recently held in Melbourne. Winning the Ecotourism Award and a Tour Operator Award places them in “The Hall of Fame” – a worthy and very prestigious position position.

The company is another important stakeholder in the Mornington Peninsula Marine sector and these awards are highly valued recognition of the outstanding service quality, professional standards and ethical approach the company demonstrates in offering a very special experience to all its customers.
Peninsula Stand-Up Paddle was also a finalist in the competition a great effort for this young company in a very challenging field.
